About the Foundation
The SEAKR Foundation is a unique, private, non-profit, organization that financially supports Colorado military families whose spouse/parent has been killed or wounded in action in Iraq or Afghanistan.

How are recipients selected?
Through research from the press, Veterans Affairs and military family assistance organizations, the SEAKR Foundation identifies Colorado families who have a loved one that was killed or injured in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. We then reach out to these families and cater assistance based on their particular needs.
How are donations distributed?
The SEAKR Foundation distributes almost all of the donations it receives for the benefit of the families it assists. To date, 99% of the funds received have been distributed to military families in need.
How can I help?
Here are some ways that you or your organization can help lift the burden that the SEAKR Foundation families are carrying:
- Adopt a family through the SEAKR foundation. The SEAKR Foundation will work with you or your organization to set up a program for a family in need.
